A pharaoh of Egypt, who created the largest Egyptian empire. Thutmose III was the sixth pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt, the era in which ancient Egypt achieved the peak of its power. Thutmose III created the largest empire Egypt had ever seen. He conducted at least 16 campaigns and conquered lands from the northern Syria to the Fourth Cataract of the Nile in Nubia. He was an active expansionist ruler, sometimes called Egypt's greatest conqueror or "the Napoleon of Egypt".
