A famed general of Japan's Sengoku period, skilled in both the tea ceremony and military strategy. In Japan's Sengoku period, Matsunaga Hisahide rose like a dark star. Later generations remembered him alongside Hōjō Sōun and Saitō Dōsan as one of the Three Ambitious Warlords of the Sengoku period. He was also a master of the tea ceremony.
