A Chinese military general during the late Eastern Han dynasty, who is the incarnation of loyalty. Since 184 A.D., during the late Eastern Han dynasty, a famous period of civil war in Chinese history, the feudal lords ruled the country. They attacked and annexed territory with each other, and several powers rose. Guan Yu, one of the most famous military strategists and generals of the state of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period, was worshipped as the "Saint of War" by the people of later generations. In 219 A.D., the Wei army stationed in Fancheng and sent heavy troops to garrison around Fancheng. In the face of the heavily fortified city, Guan Yu took advantage of the flood in August to lead the army to attack the enemy who was besieged by the flood, and won a great victory. Guan Yu was appraised as "enemy of ten-thousand" for his military prowess. Along with Zhang Fei, Guan Yu shared a brotherly relationship with Liu Bei and accompanied him on most of his early exploits. He is remembered for his loyalty and righteousness.
